We have had a rough week. Both girls were sick. Both had a fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, a few episodes of vomitting (I hope that isn't TMI) and general achiness all over. After being home two days and no one was getting better, mommy decided we needed meds and we went to the doctor! The diagnosis was a double ear infection for Liz; one in each ear! And, Kate had a nasty cold, but it was viral, which meant no meds! Wednesday was a much better day and, I think (fingers crossed), the girls are better. Liz's antibiotic is already making a difference. Kate hasn't had a dose of Tylenol since Wednesday am. We are on the mend and I hope we stay healthy for a few months.

random picture
This is one of my favorite pictures of the girls. They look so serene and innocent. I wish I could keep them this way forever.
You have seen this picture before, in color. I thought it would be fun to edit the picutre in Picnik. I love the result!

sick pickle
Liz was sick this weekend. She had a fever, accompanied by weepy eyes and a runny nose.
She was not a happy camper. Poor pickle.

the gang's all here
Meet Kate's "things". She sleeps with all of them every night. Ducky has been with us the longest, next came Monkey. The big teddy bear and Tigger were recent additions; she received them as Christmas gifts. The newest member of the bedtime gang is the small teddy bear, which she received for Valentine's Day.
Every morning everyone comes downstairs and sits on the couch. They stay there all day while the house is empty. Then each night, they all go back upstairs to bed with Kate.
Please don't give Kate anymore stuffed animals. The bed is running out of space and mommy is tired of lugging them all upstairs and downstairs.

weekly photo
This was the best picture from Wednesday. I think it captures the "true" Kate and Liz; they are never still!

eating
Liz started eating solids. I was being lazy and kept putting it off. But I finally caved in this weekend. She was ready and she was hungry!
