random picture

Liz was by far the best dressed person at Thanksgiving dinner. She wore her festive and bright pumpkin dress and her finest jewels.

I only refolded *some* of the towels. Now, if I could get her to scrub the toilets!

my helper

Kate loves to "help" in the kitchen.

The last few weekends we have been making bread. She is literally covered in flour from head to toe by the time she is done.

She has so much fun and feels such a since of accomplishment, it is worth the extra clean up.

noodles

Photobucket
Kate asked me to take a picture of her dinner plate. When I saw her plate I smiled and chuckled to myself. It is definitely cute that she arranged her noodles by color. But, I might be a tad bit alarmed that she is this organized, or some might say obsessive compulsive, at the young age of 3 years old. Either way, she was proud of her accomplishment. And, it proves she is one smart girl.

cast off

I just realized that I never blogged about how the cast came into our lives. The short story is that Kate and Liz had a minor run in on the stairs. Kate didn't even lose her balance and it appeared that Liz gently rolled down 3-4 stairs. But, 20 minutes after the incident, she was still crying. Then, we noticed she couldn't use her right arm to support herself to push up to standing. We went to the ER. Two hours and four x-rays later, we were told that Liz had a buckle fracture. Her arm wasn't technically broken, it was just bent. Life with a cast was a challenge. We had to cover it when she ate and when she bathed. Liz was a good sport about the whole thing. Honestly, I don't think it ever bothered her.

The cast is gone! Good riddance!! I can't really say that Liz is back to her old self, because really it didn't slow her down at all. Her arm is a bit scaly and dry, which was easily fixed with a bath and lotion. Even though she wasn't bothered, I am so thankful to have her healthy and whole again.

a conversation

Me: Are you sure you want to watch TV in the dark?
Kate: Yes. I want to pretend like I am in a movie theatre.

pajamas

Photobucket
{sorry about the bad picture. I am still learning how to use the phone on my iTouch.}
I caved and bought Kate some Disney Princess pajamas. She LOVES her new pajamas. I have never seen her so excited to get ready for bed.
