fingers

I almost forgot that Kate used to suck her fingers! How did my first born grow up so fast?

comparison

Kate, 8.20.12, approximately 17 months

Liz, 1.22.12, approximately 16 months

Kate and Liz; they look so alike and yet so different. They are definitely sisters! I love both of these pictures because I feel that each girl's personality has been captured. Kate is quiet and yet inquisitive. Liz is bold and joyful.

flying

One of Kate's new favorite games is jumping off the couch into a pile of pillows. It looks like she can fly!

caught

Saturday morning I caught Liz drawing on the living room wall with a pencil!! She loves to carry around pens, pencils, markers, or crayons, so I should have known this would happen eventually.
This is her "What? It wasn't me" face.

weekly photo

week 71-72
I took this picture on Saturday, January 14th. The end of week 71 and/or the beginning of week 72. Maybe someday I will get back on track...
As you can tell, Kate was not in a picture taking mood. She intentionally closed her eyes and squished her face in numerous shots!

play-doh and crayons

Kate received some new play-doh for Christmas. She is so inventive and creative and can entertain herself for an hour at a time! Lately she likes to play with popsicle molds and craft eyes.
She asked me to take a picture of her "masterpiece".
Liz likes play-doh too; she likes to eat it! So, while Kate creates, Liz colors in the high chair. I have also caught Liz taking a bite or two out of her crayons. The two dark spots on Liz's lip and cheek are crayon crumbs.

week 69

I took this picture on Christmas Eve. I think that would have been week 69. We got out of our weekly photo habit recently, but hopefully we will get back on track in 2012.

a new toy

Kate and Liz have a new toy... laundry baskets!

I was trying to fold laundry when Kate asked if she could get in the basket. Of course, Liz wanted her own basket too. Then Kate's imagination took off and the fun began.

Kate was either driving a car, boat, or train. Liz was always her passenger.
